Boon Wurrung land

1.

the first stage was over

the flat fields

cutting the gaps

taunting

like an early morning

dream

2.

by the light of the moon

bulbs of daffodil

returned

upon the earth

how bright

the garden breathed

a web of magic

3.

we want the same

the warm and slow

take it all in:

quiet valley

the yellow of the wattle

hidden behind trees

is a happy sense

I reach for

4.

the hills become family

growing, keeping culture

standing on that sunny hill

I realise

the power

the story feels alive

in the land

in the dusk.
