1.    Not sure what to make for lunch? Breakfast sandwich.

2.    Not sure what to make for dinner? Breakfast sandwich.

3.    When someone is venting, ask ‘would you like my advice or just a listening ear?’

4.    Stop fighting it and get a LinkedIn.

5.    Question wellness advice from anyone who considers a square of 100% dark chocolate to be a zesty little dessert.

6.    Spend less time trying to make yourself as lovable as possible and more time actually loving.

7.    Take seasickness tablets BEFORE you get on the boat. And while you’re at it, check you have sunscreen and bug repellant.

8.    Avoid confronting someone with a dramatic paragraph-long text. In a word: trauma.

9.    Being 6’2, watching a lot of foreign films, owning a 35mm camera, and living in New York are not substitutes for having a personality. (They are kind of hot though).

10. You can improve your job security by making sure management is obsessed with your vibe.

11. Stressed? Walk. Overthinking? Write. Angry? Music. Burnt out? Read.

12. Being overly accommodating all the time is actually really unhelpful. Dig deep, form an opinion and pick a restaurant.

13. Showing up with wine or dessert in hand never hurt anyone’s feelings.

14. Learn how to communicate when you feel anxious and distressed. That’s when communication is needed most.

15. You can love yourself and still not want to drink warm lemon water upon waking.

16. No beauty regime disguised as self-care can replace our need for community care.

17. No one is above trash TV. Humble yourself then watch The Real Housewives.

18. The attentiveness and devotion it takes to maintain a long-term friendship, in all of its quiet beauty, can teach you a lot about love.

19. The person making you cry everyday probably isn’t your soulmate.

20. Gender identity, age and size aside: an oversized blazer looks great on absolutely everyone.

21. Other people’s approval doesn’t feel THAT good. Neither does their sympathy.

22. ‘Move your body, wear sunscreen and get 8 hours sleep’ are regulars on the advice scene for a reason. Don’t disregard.

23. If you’re still talking about it, you’re probably not over it.

24. Never assume your straight male sidepiece is welcome at a girl's brunch— unless you’re looking to completely obliterate the vibe, in which case, proceed.

25. The only certainty in life is that everything will change. Your favourite coworker will switch jobs, your best friend will move abroad for a year and end up staying indefinitely. Old versions of yourself will shed revealing new incarnations, so find something to appreciate here and now before things evolves entirely.

and finally…

26.  A universal truth *inhales and passes joint* you should call your grandma more often.
