NAARM BASED VINTAGE STORE LOST PROPERTY IS A PROJECT THAT RECOGNISES THE IMPERATIVE FOR SUSTAINABILITY IN FASHION AND THE ARTISTRY OF THE SEAMSTRESS.
Through learning to sew, sole-business owner Isabella Persano grew to appreciate the difficulty of making garments that last, a skill that should continue to be recognised and valued. She also learnt the importance of using high quality fabrics; they sit better on, have better movement, wash better and last longer. This has guided Isabella to hand pick well-made vintage garments, prioritising fabrics made from natural fibres.
Choosing style over trend, Lost Property is also about not taking fashion too seriously, but instead viewing clothing as an opportunity for creative self-expression. It finds the balance between classic design and one-of-a-kind pieces.
With a passion for the environment and long time love of second-hand shopping, Isabella believes that fashion is fun but should not cost the earth. Lost Property’s message is shop responsibly, stay weird and fuck fast fashion.
